Beverly to join overseas wave?

Arkansas Junior PG, Patrick Beverly, to play professionally in Europe?

As many of you may know, the Razorbacks will be without one of their top players, Patrick Beverly, for this upcoming season due to acedemia reasons. A source close to the program has apparently stated that he "is expected to seek a contract with a professional team overseas." Is this a good idea? It could be. He did average 12.1 ppg and had 6.6 rpg in the SEC conference. I think he will warrant starter's minutes over in Europe (if he goes) but there is no way he will catch a big contract like Brandon Jennings and Josh Childress did. Perhaps the only negative to this situation is that if he does go and play in Europe and returns to America in hopes of being picked in the NBA draft; executives in the NBA are going to want to know exactly why he departed Arkansas, so he's going to have to get in front of the story sooner rather than later.
